The Rachel Berry Handbook: Determination

Hello and welcome to a new feature here on Being @RachelBerryWMHS! This feature, The Rachel Berry Handbook, will focus on different aspects that make Rachel who she is! It will also provide tips for those of you who want to emulate our favorite Glee club diva! Of course, the first tip to being just like Rachel is to have…wait for it…Determination.

“There’s nothing that I wouldn’t for a chance to be in the spotlight.”

From the moment we are introduced to Rachel, we can tell she is not your average girl. She has big dreams of starring on Broadway and she won’t let anything or anyone stand in her way. Though she faces many obstacles throughout her time at William McKinley, her determination has seen her through it all. Being a star is what Rachel has always wanted and she won’t stop until those dreams become a reality.

Rachel’s drive to succeed has been the main constant throughout Glee’s entire run and, although sometimes it’s gotten her in trouble (crackhouse, anyone?), at the end of the day, it’s what makes her so special.

Even when it comes to her relationship with Finn, Rachel has stayed determined to win him back, regardless of what anyone tells her. She knows she loves him and she will get him back one way or another.

There’s a reason she signs her name with a gold star: A constant reminder of her dreams and those big goals that she has. A way to keep her determined and motivated until she inevitably arrives on Broadway.

So, to be like Rachel, remember to always follow your dreams. If you want something bad enough, fight for it until the very end. Don’t ever give up and keep that Rachel Berry determination alive!

Stay tuned for more Rachel Berry Handbook tips very soon!
