“At least I didn’t fall and break my talent”: My Rachel-centric review of ‘The Substitute’

I apologize for the late review, but better late than never! Let’s get right to it!

Favorite Rachel Performance: Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag

Rachel’s fabulous performance with Holly was a highlight of the episode for me.  Complete with shining lights and fantastic outfits, it was a very Rachel song to do. The dancing, the blending of Lea and Gwyneth’s voices, it was all wonderful!

Favorite Rachel outfit: The navy turtleneck and Cooperative Print skirt

Although fairly simple, I love absolutely everything about this outfit. The best part about it? Anyone can put their own version together! For more information on where you can get the same skirt, visit Glee Style.

Favorite Rachel quote: “Well, at least I didn’t fall and break my talent.”

Once again, the Rachel we all know and love shows just how she sees herself. Though she slips and falls (thanks to a buttered floor) she quickly composes herself and lets everyone know that her talent is still alive and well. It was a hilarious and very characteristic thing for Rachel to say.

Favorite Rachel moment: Sectionals, all about ME.

While taking requests for songs her fellow Glee clubbers want to see at Sectionals, Santana lashes out as if she’s going to attack Rachel. This makes for a hilarious moment were Rachel screams in terror. A very, very funny scene and a great moment for Rachel fans.

What were your thoughts on The Substitute? Did you love Gwyneth as much as the Glee kids? What was your favorite performance? Share in the comments section below!
