I’m back another for another Glee book review! This time, I’m looking at Don’t Stop Believin’: The Unofficial Guide to Glee, written by Erin Balser and Suzanne Gardner. This book is the same one our RP group is featured in and I was sent a copy for my contribution to the book. Although I’ve only had it in my hands for one day, I’ve already read it all- it’s that good!
Erin and Suzie have both been great supporters of the RP group and myself, and I jumped at the chance to participate in this book. Both are devoted Gleeks and that shows heavily throughout. When reading some Glee books out there, you can tell these people were only interested in capitalizing on the Glee fame, but not in Erin and Suzie’s book. You can truly tell they’re passionate about Glee, whether it be the music, the stories, the characters, or the fans, and that’s one thing that makes this book special.
There are so many interesting facts spread throughout the book — many of which I didn’t even know! You get to learn the casts’ audition songs, information about the original songs covered in each episode, actor bios, trivia pieces, and even interviews with actual Glee cast members!
Whether you’re a super Gleek or you’ve only seen a few episodes of the show, Don’t Stop Believin’ is a book you’ll cherish for a very long time. If you’re looking to find out information on an episode, song, quote, or character, this is the perfect reference guide. With Glee’s Complete First Season and Volume 2: Road To Regionals releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray soon, this book is the perfect companion for watching our favorite show!
I truly cannot recommend this book enough and I give major props to Erin and Suzie for writing such an amazing companion guide. Their hard work and dedication to the Glee fan community is like no other and I’m so glad I got the chance to be a part of such a special book.
So, what are you waiting for? Be sure to pick up your own copy of Don’t Stop Believin’: The Unofficial Guide To Glee today!
